THE 2004 GSE TEAM TO BRAZIL
RETURNS
The Group Study Exchange Team
for District 5510 returned in early May, 2004. Jason and his
Team of non-Rotarian business professionals were in Brazil
for thirty-two days.
GSE is an opportunity for non-Rotarian business
professionals between 25 and 40 years of age to travel as
Arizona, U.S. and Rotary ambassadors. The Team made
presentations to Brazilian Rotary Clubs, experienced vocational days
and throughly enjoyed the culture and sights of southern
Brazil. If you would like to see a map of where the Team is went, click here.
Pre-departure, the GSE Team was treated by Rotarian
Michael Monti, at Monti's, to an evening of discussion and
brazilian food. At left, the Team sampled the most popular soft
drink in Brazil... Guarana. It is great stuff and tastes
much like red creme soda.
Our hosts at Monti's displaying a traditonally
prepared tea, that was quite excellent. (l to r) Lucas Nieri,
Rotarian Michael Monti and Roberto Grassi.
The GSE Team gave a spectacular presentation at the
District Conference on June 25, 2004. The audience laughed at every
joke, had fun because the Team had fun and were touched by the
stories that so touched the Team, as they made their way into
the hearts of their Brazilian hosts.
(l to r) Nate Tanner, Kelly Jones, unidentified,
Team Leader and Rotarian Jason Brock and Becca Case.
