MATCHING
FUNDS/POINTS ARE AVAILABLE NOW!

Paul Harris was the
founder of Rotary International. The Paul Harris Fellowship was
established to raise funds for the Rotary International Foundation'
s many humanitarian programs and projects.
100%
EVERY MEMBER
OF
THE ROTARY CLUB
OF SCOTTSDALE
AS OF JUNE 1,
2006, IS A PAUL
HARRIS FELLOW.
How to Achieve and
Maintain 100% PHF for Our Club
In our club we require that new members give one hundred
dollars towards beginning their Paul Harris Fellow. Add a hundred a
month for one year or fifty dollars a month to achieve in the award
in two years. A Paul
Harris Fellow becomes a major donor by adding $9000.00 to Rotary
International. The nine thousand gives the member nine thousand
points from which he can help others become Paul Harris Fellow. This
can be achieved in two ways, first an outright award to civic,
church, synagogue, and charity members of our club this would gift
nine members of the club or by matching the 9000 points with nine
thousand dollars of new money to rotary which adds eighteen new Paul
Harris Fellows to the club.
Donors with more than one thousand dollars given to Rotary
International have points reserved in their name from their current
club or at any previous club. Example: $1,200 to Rotary
International member has one Paul Harris Fellow and 200 points on
his/her account. Since
Rotary guidelines prohibit the member from using the points to
acquire an additional PHF from themselves. The guidelines in the spirit
of Rotary, allow the member to donate their points to help another
member obtain a PHF.
In our Scottsdale
club we exchanged almost 50,000 thousand points among members and
raised an additional $25,000 for Rotary and added 75 PHF to our club
with 165 members we are now a 100% Paul Harris Fellow
club.
Where do you go from here? All members who were helped were
asked to help others by continuing to give to Rotary International
and using their points to help keep our club at 100% Paul Harris
Fellow.
