Scottsdale Rotary's 2009-10 President - Mike Casey
Michael Casey is a financial principal at Lowry
Hill. He assisted in opening the firm’s Scottsdale office in August 1997
and has helped to grow the Scottsdale business to its
current level of more than $500 million assets under management. Mike is actively involved in business
development and works with 22 client families.
Mike was previously vice president and manager
of the Private Banking Group of Norwest Bank in Minneapolis. He led the group in integrating the banking,
investment, and financial functions for the Private Bank. He also worked
closely with The VIP Forum in the research and development of new banking
strategies for the affluent market.
Prior to his work with Norwest Minneapolis, Mike worked with entrepreneurs
and small business owners at Norwest Sioux Falls in the areas of credit, and estate
and investment planning.
Mike received his master’s of business
administration and his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota
where he is a now trustee of the USD Foundation. He is a certified trust and financial advisor
(CTFA).
Mike is active in both the Phoenix and Scottsdale communities. He is chairman emeritus of the Herberger
Theater Company and has led development efforts there for the past five
years. Mike is treasurer of the Phoenix
Symphony Orchestra. He is also on the advisory
board of the Arizona Community Foundation.
Mike developed and chaired the Internship Program for students on
financial aid at Brophy College Preparatory School. In addition, he works
with the Scottsdale Healthcare Foundation and the Children’s Museum of Phoenix in their fundraising
efforts.
